(Columbia, South Carolina) – Today, the South Carolina Manufacturers Alliance (SCMA) recognized 93 industrial facilities throughout the state for outstanding workplace safety accomplishment during 2020.

Facilities with a low rate of incidents resulting in lost workdays, job transfers, or restrictions were nominated for the recognition. Plants that had an incident rate below the statewide average for their NAICS code earned the award. The 2020 award winners were recognized during the annual SCMA Safety Summit that was held virtually on Wednesday, April 21, 2021.

“The facilities who earned this prestigious award have a culture of excellence where ensuring the safety and well-being of their associates is a constant priority,” said Sara Hazzard, President & CEO of the South Carolina Manufacturers Alliance. “Manufacturers recognize that the safety procedures and principles their team members practice every day is what makes their facilities successful and great places to work. We are proud to recognize so many South Carolina companies for their continued commitment and accomplishments in workplace safety.
